The networks are afraid. They see us running to new technologies like Hulu, the iPad, fancast, etc. They see the dollar signs fading faster than a photograph of Marty McFly’s family. I say tough shit, we already watch their 30 second commercials before and during the show. We watch more ads on Hulu than we do on regular TV, thanks to DVRs. How many of us, that own DVRs, actually watch a program when it airs?
They are going to train us? I don’t think so. We have the control here, don’t “buy” into what they’re dishing out. We can force them to abandon these ideas by simply boycotting subscription-based services.
